Love Is Love Gala

Our Gala theme this year is LOVE IS LOVE and will honor six-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin. We hope you will join us for a special evening! Our Gala, which is taking place April 28, 2021 from 7:00PM to 8:00PM, is a virtual fundraising event that recognizes and celebrates the outstanding and courageous people in our community who create safer and more supportive spaces for LGBT people!

We are also excited to announce an exciting line-up of performers replicating the fun, joy, and inspiration that is felt at the LGBT Network’s in-person Gala!

How will funds help?

Funds will help LGBT Network right now in delivering programs and services virtually. Post-COVID, funds will help LGBT Network re-open the doors of its LGBT community centers in Long Island and Queens in 2021 and continue to deliver its life-saving and vital programs and services. Gala funds will help LGBT Network to continue offering more than 25 programs each week that:

  • Build community and help destress through weekly virtual programs and groups
  • Support LGBT youth with support and leadership programs
  • Reduce isolation for LGBT older adults that are more likely to live alone
  • Help LGBT parents and their kids develop connections to other families like theirs
  • Bridge a language divide with groups offered exclusively in Spanish
  • Bring together transgender people to find peer support

Funds will also help LGBT Network to purchase PPE including masks, sanitizer, extra cleaning supplies and services, social distancing signs and decals, and other supplies so that we can keep our community safe and healthy.

Please sign-on today as a Sponsor so that LGBT Network can continue to connect LGBT people, to promote health, and create social change.

The LGBT Network is an association of nonprofit organizations that serve the LGBT communities of Long Island and Queens including Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth (LIGALY), The Long Island LGBT Community Center (The Center), Services and Advocacy for LGBT Elders - Long Island (SAGE-LI), and the Queens LGBT Community Center (Q Center). People of color, women, trans and gender non-conforming people, and individuals of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
